I bought my shirt back in 1993 for a rafting trip. It was recommended by the store clerk for insulation. I have no regret after thirteen years later. the shirt still intact and look as new as the day I bought it. Customer Service Did not use Similar Products Used: Ones from Big 5. |

I agree that capilene is pricey, but I have owned 2 of these shirts (lost the first one so I had to get another) and they are great! There was virtually no retention of odor after wearing the thing for 3-4 days straight. I think some of you guys must have super BO or something. I have washed it out in creeks and airdried and it is practically like washed. The static cling is pretty annoying, but these shirts are great for warm and cool weather, which is their best asset, besides being really comfy. Customer Service none needed |

I used 2 of these while walking the GR20 in corsica, and one on Offa's Dyke in the UK. They are comfortable, seem to stop sunburn, and do dry quickly. My only problem is after a heavy day they STINK! As I try to go for lightweight, I choose to wear one and wash the other, but even after washing (whilst still out on the hill) they retain odour. If you'll be meeting other people, consider taking a deodorising soap/shampoo/whatever.... Overall though a decent piece of kit - mine often visit work and the pub too :o) Customer Service I have 2 sw tops, 1 lw top, 2 mw tops and the sw boxers (SUPERB, BTW). Never needed any form of service - the silkweight is surprisingly tough. Similar Products Used: Helly Hansen Lifa, Sprayway, Lowe Alpine Driflow, Craghoppers, Rohan... |

The best there is in this genre. I've purchased other brands but they just don't cut it ..... either they are too thick or are textured and snag easily. Worth the $$$. Similar Products Used: many |

None I love this T-shirt ! I have bought 3 of them and I''m planning to buy some other more. it is very light, it dries in a couple of minutes and even when it is really wet you don''t feel it on the skin. One of my best buy with my Arc''teryx Alpha sv jacket...simple and efficient ! Similar Products Used: None |

I bought one of these for $9 at REI last summer. (It has a silly Patagonia pattern on it.) The fabric does feel nice against the skin. And it wicks well. There's a problem: retention of body odor. It's worse, much worse, in silkweight capilene than in other wicking performance tees I own. I've relegated this shirt to the status of 'run only.' I wear it for a run, make it stink, then throw it in the laundry. No civil person would wear one through the course of a day -- never mind several. I have both the long sleeve silkweight T-shirt and the silkweight long underwear. After a long day of hiking and a good meal, it's nice to pull on the silkweights and crawl into my sleeping bag. You won't believe how comfortable they are! Together, they roll up to the size of a softball and they keep my bag super clean. If you buy a set for sleeping, you'll be hooked too! Similar Products Used: Cool Max... I tried a long sleeve t-shirt for a backpacking trip to Maine. After three days on the trail, it had pilled up pretty bad. So far, I have not had any pilling on my Silkweight Capilene. |

I love these shirts! I have 6 of them and barely ever wear cotton anymore. They dry very quickly and even when soaked they wick so well that they don't really feel wet. I have been extremely pleased with these shirts. Definitely worth every penny. Similar Products Used: None |
