Strength:

This is a great all around ski for male or female. It Turns well in all conditions, It rides smoothly in all but hard ice on the steep. This is a great choice for an all around Ski.

Weakness:

It doesn’t hold as quite well as a pure race ski, but this is minor compared to the versatility gained in other area of performance.

I am a 165lb 5'11" male. As an instructor I thought I would take a couple of runs on my GF's skis so I could better understand the ski's dynamics. She is an intermediate/advanced skier on 2003 model year 167cm. Wow! after 2 runs I was having so much fun she was not going to get them back. These skis initiate turns very nicely, carve both short and long radius turns well. They ride very nicely in the soft snow and hold very good edge on the hard pack/ice (not as good as a racing ski). these skis are lively with a decent pop. Stability is where this ski surprised me. 167cm is way shorter than I would normally ski yet these skis were stable up to near downhill speeds. By the end of the day I had gained enough confidence in these skis to make it down the hill in just 3 turns at Super-G speeds on a combination of softer packed snow in the sun and ice in the shade. Amazing!!

Skier

These skis get great reviews, but I have mixed feelings about them. Once you get into your groove, they ski like silk, but if you''''re a mom toting several preteen snowboarders and juggling various crises, you might find yourself having to reestablish your groove multiple times over the course of a day. It''''s probably a good idea to demo a couple of sizes if you''''re considering these skis. I had one shop size me by height (5''''5") and they put me on a pair of 160s - I couldn''''t really get much power out of them. Another shop only had the 174s available. I liked them better than the shorter ones, but it wasn''''t until I demo''''d a pair of 167s that I felt that I''''d found my best match.

Customer Service

The Stowe Toys Demo shop is excellent - very friendly and helpful!
