K2 Bike Plasma Plus HB Step in

K2 Bike Plasma Plus HB Step in

DESCRIPTION

A smooth-handling 3D-injected Plasma baseplate teams up with our new Ace highback for all-mountain performance. The Plasma Plus HB is the closest thing to a conventional strap binding you can get without having to bend over or sacrifice the toe/heel edge control provided by Clicker technology. A beefed-up and adjustable Power Band heel cup dials boot centering but doesn’t sacrifice stance width adjustments in the process. New screw-adjustable damping gaskets regulate lateral roll, and Power Stroke forward lean cranks out for lift line stakeouts or cranks in for spur-of-the-moment high-speed pursuits.

Strength:

Nice Highback Step-in on lifts Light

Weakness:

The only thing is, the mounting plates that came with the bindings were not made for Burton tri-hole inserts. It worked anyway, but it would have been nnicer if I could accually move the binding around a bit on my Custom.

You either love Clickers or you hate them. Some people will never find the hole, while others could do it in their sleep. I have never had problems finding that hole. I'm also one of the people who has never had clogging problems, even in a foot of fresh powpow. Mabye I'm just lucky, but given the amount I snowboard each winter, I doubt its just luck. I owned the first Clicker HB's (which didn't give me too much trouble), although it too a few days to get the hang of stepping in and out well. By the end of the week I was clickin' in on lifts easily, with a little twist of the board. Now, this new Plasma has upped the level of the originals. They are lighter, look better, feel more solid, have a better highback, and are easier to step in. The toepiece is now tapered so it is even easier for me to find the hole without looking. the click in feels solid and there is less lateral "play" between the boots and bindings. Nice overall. I have heard from a lot of people that snow gets clogged easily in the boot an on the binding. Funny, how i seem to remember having to scrape snow off the bottoms of my stardard snowboarding boots when I rode strap bindings years ago. Moral of the story: clean off your boots, step-ins or not.

Strength:

No straping in very easy to use.

Weakness:

people complain about to many settings but it took me 2 runs and I have them set perfect for me of course everything takes time to get used to.

I think this product is awsome. I have been snow boarding for 3 years now and i had a set of burton strap ins they gave me no trouble but straping in got to be a pain. So i got a set of these bindings and they are awsome. I got this type because of the high back there is better suport.

Strength:

Pretty colors. Helps you vent your anger when they don''t click in. Mabey they''ll get better. Many adjustment options.

Weakness:

Some days you just can''t find the hole. See above. Many adjustment options. Do we need this many?

Looked good in the store. Getting them on is an art. Snow packs. When there on, they seem fine. They might need more adjustment. If your short on patience these may not be for you. Any advice welcome.
