Strength:

Everything you need in a boot, and then some stuff to make you laugh at other people's boots.

Weakness:

A little pricey, until your feet go numb in your $50 cement shoes.

Do not ever let the salesperson tell you what is comfortable. I did, and ended up getting the wrong size boots previously. I tried on at least 15 pairs of boots indescriminate to brand, and the Burton Drivers were the most comfortable and provided the most support by a long shot. They look extremely high quality, and they are as responsive, comfortable, warm, dry and as slick looking as any boot could be. Plus the Stiffness is adjustable. Buy these and forget about your feet all day. I was willing to pay for comfort, and these were less expensive than many others that were not nearly as expertly designed. Also, they are suprisingly light for all the super comfey gel they used. The Ice Spikes are pretty cool, even though the chances of using them are remote, every guy out there loves the idea of popping steel spikes out of their boot at will. These are some serious boots. Don't get them if you don't like it stiff though.

flex, response, warmth, ankle brace,

oh man...this has been a sick boot all winter! my feet have never been numb or cold, even in -40 degree weather! great response, and i like that you can adjust the flex. really easy to put on, and the pull strap in side the boot for ankle protection is a nice touch. overall really amazing boots, and i have enjoyed riding them this season, and look foreward to the next!

they are a bit heavy

The driver is a powerful boot with a lot of response. The gel bone out liner is comfortable and warm. In the entire season my feet have never been cold. This is a good boot.

Strength:

They were the Perfect stiffness with the stiffener removed and I could add the stiffener when I wanted to carve on my 163cm Cascade. Excellent workmanship well made. Stayed water tight.

Weakness:

The weakness was not the boot but my Left Foot. I Tried on a pair of 2003 drivers and Ions HD's they seemed better but bought 2003 Forum Peter Lines instead. Burton boots are not the warmmest when temps get in the low teens and below.

I rode these boots six times before I traded them in for some other gear. I don't why but they aggrevated an old injury to my left foot. The liner has these bumps on the heel that pinched and my foot would go numb.I went to a snowboard shop(not Galyans} and they gave me a list of things to try(heellifts, not over tightening etc..)The first four times rode them they were perfect. I liked to ride them with the stiffener removed for all riding. The last two times I rode them I had the before mentioned problems.

Strength:

Absolutely zero heel lift. Good impact absorbtion. Comfortable enough to ride all day without a break. By far the most responsive boots I have ever used. Feet stayed comfy and dry in all conditions. I would highly recommend these boots. Great fit for wider feet.

Weakness:

Ice spikes levers are hard to use with gloves on and scratch up board. Don't bother using plastic inserts, just remove spikes and reinstall screws.

I recently recieved the 02 Drivers for Christmas after borrowing my brothers 01 Drivers last season. This is a great boot despite the pfisher-price bindings that I used with them. A fair price at msrp $230 but were purchased for less.

Strength:

-stiff (acually cool for freestyle) -leakproof (all day every day for 2weeks with no drying) -dunno what else

Weakness:

-thee heel isn't fixed (will get up), gets annoying at first but you get used to it (this is the problem of all B boots, at least for my feet)

I am satisfied with these boots. I didnt expect much and got satisfactory (dunno why people praise something as plain as boots but hey -their opinion). The boots will do good (cept one little weakness). -ive tried all burton boots last year and decided to get these (they're good -trust me)

Strength:

* Wide footbed. My feet did not cramp... well, it started to cramp very slightly but very late in the day. * Stiff. Mt board felt very responsive. Also, the boot angle 'forces' me to lean forward a bit more.

Weakness:

* Inner lace lock is a bit quirky and does not slide down easily. * I prefer the outer boot quick lacing system on the Salamons.

I recently purchased the 2003 Burton Driver and my review is based on my first ride. I was reluctant to buy another Burton boot since the last three cramped my feet very easily (within one or two runs). But after trying several boots (Burton, Ion, Ride Fuse, Salomon Synapse, Salomon Malamute, amongst others), the Drivers fit my wider than average feet. The boots are stiff but not as stiff as the Malamutes (IMHO) but ample for my needs.

Strength:

Stiffness, made riding really responsive

Weakness:

Heel lift, construction

This was one of the few boots that fitted my wide foot, but I have a narrow ankle and found after a while they just would not hold my heel down. But these would be good for a high volume foot. Only problem was I had to crank then so hard that I pulled the laces out of three eyelets so was not impressed with the build - especially for the cash

Strength:

tongue has a plastic insert take it out for less stiffness--but the stiffness is great! so I leave it in.

Weakness:

little claw things for hiking up ice -- not so great--they may work well on ice but when retracted the spikes sick out the side a little scratching the board--however they come with plastic inserts that can relace the ice spikes just in case you don't like'em--NICE!

I have the '03 awesome great support- lets me throw the board around-- If I bought the rulers instead I would've benn unhappy i really need the support on the front---

Strength:

i got these boots a couple days ago and used them for the first time in the season. unlike last years version (2001) these boots do not leak, or they didnt yesterday. the drivers are very stiff and do not have any heellift at all. this years version looks sick too. they are all black with some red and stuff. they are easy to lace up and the liners makes the fit tight to ur foot and very comfortable. also a new feature on this boot are spikes on the bottom of the front of the boot that fold in and out for hiking. overall this boot is awesome and if u need new boots then buy these.

Weakness:

i looked and found no weaknesses in this boot.

the drivers are way better than any other boots ive used.
