Strength:

My son really amazed at how it works. They are fun boards for pipe, rails, jumps, and powder. Dominant is a good board for people starting out in the park. If not get something stiffer. SL Concrete And Masonry

None so far.

I love this board! went from my 01, 7 to this because I am starting to do a lot more park, WOW I don't feel the slam in my knees unlike my 7 "more of a grooming board" it has madddddddddd flex and switching my stance as I so often do is great..... cool board burton knows its stuff!

tried this board out on some harsh NZ conditions and it's still the best i've ever rode. park, freestyle, back-country - it can do it all. plus the lower centre of gravity seems to put ur balls closer to the ground causing a mysterious effect that makes u want to go harder and harder...

Tried the Burton 7 and it was too small and too rigid...

The Burton Dominant, What can I say? Well this board has dominated the world of park riding since the day it hit the market. The handrail killer is what comes to mind when I hear the word Dominant because of its super forgiving flex, which helps to lock onto the biggest of rails with the most technical tricks. Also it has a completely centered stance, so riding switch and regular is exactly equal. The 3 degree base bevel on the edges makes catching your edge while jibbing impossible. This year the Dominant is rocking Burtons all new core, the Park Fly core, so it will have a lighter swing weight and adds some durability as well. This board is awesome for the guy who spends all day in the park, even on a powder day.

The burton dominatnt is strictly a park board some people say they can ride it all over the mountain and you can you can ride any wood around the whole mountain but this board is not recomended to those who want to ride everything and get the most out of there board. I suggest, lib tech dark series or a nitro T2 or T1. They are fun boards for pipe, rails, jumps, and powder. Dominant is a good board for people starting out in ther park. If not get something stiffer.

Strength:

this board kicks ass. i love this board to death. it has mad flex and pop. if you are into jibbing, kickers and buttering you will not part with this board as well. the board is twin-tipped so you can add variation with some switch riding. it's also wide enough to keep you beginners on rails and also gives you that nice stomp feeling when you land a spin-trick. very forgiving on landing jumps you would've otherwised ate $hit on.

Weakness:

a lack of cool graphics. but at this point, hardcore riders don't need bling-graphics to land $hit. it also sucks that burton discontinued the 156 size. it's now only 154 and 159. who the hell freestyles on a 159 besides the jolly green giant??

first off, this is a freestyle board!! not a freeride *cough*gay*cough* type of board for all you hot-chocolate boarders so ignore all the complainin' a$$ reviews about how it handles $hit in powder and big mountain. if you were good enough you could handle your $hit on any terrain. i rode this thing on big mountain blackcomb powder dumps and it still held it's own. don't rely on your board, but get some skills instead!! but enough of that... let's talk about the dominant!!

Strength:

Rails are its main strength

Weakness:

Riding and goin fast are pretty weak. Its edges have bad response at high speeds. It sucks for carving, of course.

Hey If your a hard core jibber this is the board for you. It's awsome for rails and park. It's the best bored every. If your gonna jib get the Burton Dominant
