Burton Jussi Freestyle

Burton Jussi Freestyle

DESCRIPTION

Jussi designed this board to perform well where he rides, which, unfortunately for you, is everywhere. Backcountry kickers: he’s got entire video parts full of them. Park and contest hits: no problem there either, with the awards to back it up. Pipe: sorry, but he can deal there, too. Sintered Indium Base: Gap-clearing speed, even when it’s warm. Lite Triax: Light weight and torsional stiffness. Super Fly II Core: Light, strong, and lively flex. Dualzone EGD: Precise edge hold.

Strength:

stiff, awesome edge hold, light, stable at speeds and jumps, sweet graphics, sintered indium base| Commercial Pest Control

Weakness:

This board is the best board Ive ever ridden. Little stiff, but it gives great stability, control, and snap at the jumping rails. It is very easy to get accustomed to, and it is very easy to ride. Lovely graphics on the top and bottom.

A good board, very stable at high speeds. It will def help you get more comfortable riding steep slopes. Holds an edge really well. Also can go pretty fast.

People say it's stiff and unforgiving but I haven't found that to be true. I'm learning new tricks on this board every day and it's a blast. Good all around board. Do not get this though if you want to go in the park. Pretty tough to press this board out.

I've been riding the 2003 Jussi for two years now and it's really the best buy ever. Now I've bought the 2005 model and will recieve it soon. The Jussi series is much beter to ride and to control than the 2002 Dragon (pipeboard) and it's much tougher than the Santa Cruz models.

Strength:

very quick lot's of pop strong park board

Weakness:

will make your life miserable if your are a beginner.

I have a 2003 157 Jussi. This board is sick, super fast edge-to-edge, tons of pop and very sturdy for all your jibbing needs. I got this board after learning how to board on a Sims porject hex, which is a good beginners board (very flexible), so it took me sometime to get used to this board, being so much stiffer, and what i learned is that this board is unforgiving, you really need to have your moves ironed out before switching to this board.

Strength:

Great all around board. Very quick edge to edge. LOTS of pop for ollies.

Weakness:

The topsheet gets cracks in it easily.

I'm 5 10 and 160 pounds with size 10 boot. This board is exactly like a more powerful Burton Custom. You can use this board for anything. I've had the 2002 but now I have the 2003. If you aren't a really good snowboarder don't bother with this board, it will kick your ass.

I have riden Jussi boards for 5 to 6 years. I love the boards made from Burton, it really doesn't matter to me what type of board it is just as long as its from Burton. I find Burton boards flexible and easy to ride. As i grew, you could say the board grew right along with me. In my own opinion if you are a hardcore rider like i am. Then you should go for freestyle Jussi boards, they hold up nicely and i haven't found a board that broke yet when i have grinded the rails. Thank you for letting me express my thoughts and feelings.

Strength:

stiff, awesome edge hold, light, stable at speeds and jumps, sweet graphics, sintered indium base

Weakness:

fiberglass just under top laquer and graphic paint layer seems to be creasing between the bindings due to edge pressure. creases visible, but top lacquer feels smooth. i don''''t know if this is normal or a defect. will call burton in off-season

haven''''t tried a wide variety of boards, so i can''''t say too much on comparitive benefits. but i have ridden an older atlantis ingemar backman board...and it''''s such a nicer board. it holds it''''s edges real well, so carving is a lot more crisp. it''''s pretty stiff compared to the atlantis, so jumps/ollies are a lot easier to get big air. super fast. love the graphics. love the board.
