Burton Rush Freestyle Review

Burton Rush

Description
The Rush came out as a reaction to people wanting and needing a wider board with the same characteristics as the Balance. It’s found favor with more than just people with bigger feet, and we’ve added a new length as a result. Sintered Indium Base: High-tech speed on all types of snow. Lite Triax: Light weight and torsional stiffness. Super Fly II Core: Light, strong, and lively flex. Dualzone EGD: Precise edge hold. Graphic Tech: Gloss finish with matte details.

Summary:
It took me a while to get used to this board because i went from an old cruiser board (Sims Fakie) to this ultra responsive and light stick. I love this board and will never stray from the Burton line of boards in my life. Super fast and ultra responsive, the snap is hard to master, but once you do you'll be flying through the runs and soaring off kickers till the sun goes down.

Summary:
It is an amazing board. I got it on clearance back in 2000 when they came out with the new graphic. Saved around $300 which is great considering the only difference was the damn graphic. Definitely not for newbies, but is great for riders with big feet, like myself, avoiding toe drag. I got this board 3 seasons ago and going to hate looking for a new board when I ride this one out. It holds an edge, has decent flex/pop, and great in the park. If your feet our 11+, I definitely recommend this board! I use Burton Mission bindings that I purchased last season ('02-'03) making this board relatively light.
