Description The new trend is free skiing – and the Flexon has proven its worth especially in this field. As the sportiest representative of this series, the Flexon is returning to the market as Thermoflex. The to...
Summary: After almost 20 years for buying ski boots based on boot reviews, I finally stopped reading and started found boots that fit my feet perfectly. Not only is the fit great, but the Raichle Flexon's are the best performing boot I have ever skied.
Thanls to the freeriders that have kept this boot alive. I only wish two things; 1) I knew about this boot 20 yearsago, 2) Raichle could get the US distribution going.
If you have a problem sking in these boots, then you just ain't skin' right!
Strengths: Fantastic fit (for the right foot type), excellent lateral stifness. Progress forward flex. The foward flex is incredibly smooth, no more beat up shins!.
These boots are also extremely warm and so comforable.
Weaknesses: Can't find them anywhere!!

Summary: I would have to agree with Mr. McKonkey's review. I initially bought these boots for their fit. I have narrow, low volume feet and these boots fit better than anything i have owned previously. The fact of the matter is however that they are just too darn soft. I like to ski fast and hard on eastern (read: icy) terrain so i really like a boot that i can crank down on. This is not the one. And don't even think about "tricking" in these boots, one landing with your weight too far forward and you'll be kissing your ski tips.
Strengths: good fit for narrow feet
warm
there are stiffer tongues available...if i can find anyone that sells them...
Weaknesses: like skiing on boots made out of a dental dam

Summary: I have not used the Flexon T but I ski on a '94 Flexon comp model and I love them. I don't know about the review by Shane McMonkey. He says that he falls on his face because these boots do not support him. I am a certified instructor. Of the five basic skiing skills, balance is the first thing you teach a beginner - and that means not relying on a boot to support you. The front of the boot is to pressure the front of the ski, not hold you up. These boots are comfortable and close fitting and work well all over the mountain - from steep moguls to easy cruisin'. Buy them and enjoy!
Strengths: Comfort.
Good fit - your movements translate instantly into ski movement.
Long time friends.
Weaknesses: None unless you have wide feet.

Summary: So if that is really you MCconkey than why are you wearin' flexons in so many older pictures? These boots are amazing! They are snug and responsive. The whole cuff flexes instead of just the tongue. Also, the boots mcconkey used to wear were the race version which are stupid stiff! The new ones are pretty soft but if you want em stiffer just order the racing tongue. Makes a big difference. Also they weigh about half of what other freeride boots weigh and i think they are the sweetest lookin boots out there.
Strengths: First is that they are really really narrow (only a strength if you have feet like mine)
-light
-heat mold liner super comfy
-not race boot stiff but still as responsive
-Wont look outdated when next years flexons come out!
Weaknesses: You got wide feet?
Similar Products Used: other flexons? (pretty unique)

Summary: i think that 'mr mcconkey' gave them a bum rap.
Strengths: i haven't really had a chance to use these but the dude who claims to be shane mcconkey is talking out of his posterior, if you look at what seth morrison and many of the k2 riders wear , its flexons and im sure theyre way better skiers than you! maybe your just a mince skier mate!
Weaknesses: okay so the stylings a little retro but function over fashion eh?
