Summary:
Everything was great, until I replaced my boots and the bindings did not work with my new Rossi Free Rides. I called the vendor and they said Head put junior bindings on them thinking that people would stick to carving the groomers. They realized later this was a mistake but did nothing about it and by the way, it's too late for us to do anything for you either. So I guess I'll be replacing the bindings. As much as I'd like to refrain from purchasing anything from Head in the future, I'll probably get another set of Tyrolia's in hopes that they fit the holes.

Summary:
Good boards but shape is not as good as MNP's or M7 style boards. The nose is too wide and too low for skating and they should have pushed them to the 99cm limit for stability. They suck in Ice, just not enough edge to hold. Ok if you have snow.
The bindings work great. Toe setting normal DIN with heel at 60% of normal. This is due to the lack of length. you need to adjust bindings for when you face plant.
Overall bindings work great. Board could be better but It's not bad.

Summary:
I am an intermediate skier who switched to "skiboards" last year. These "short skis" (the Headliners are 94 cm) are very lightweight and maneuverable. I found them liberating: they are as fast as skis, turn more easily, reduce the learning curve to near zero, are totally fun, and no poles are required. One problem, however, is that virtually all skiboards (some call them snowblades) come with a clamp binding that is nonreleasable. After mildly twisting my knee in a collision with a rude snowboarder last year, I switched to the Headliner. It is the only currently marketed skiboard with a standard release binding.

These boards are fast, carve and hold exceptionally well at all speeds (even through ice) and have an attractive graphic, I think. Best of all, I feel SAFE when riding them due to the bindings, which gives me the confidence to go faster and try things such as fakie riding and jumps.

The Headliners are a fairly wide board, have raised tips at both ends and ride less similar to skis than other boards. It's a little like having two miniature snowboards on your feet. Check them out at skiboards.com or getboards.com.

I will probably never go back to long planks. The Headliners are simply too much fun!
