Price Paid:  $250.00 at Goldstocks Sporting

Summary:
These skis can handle eastern snow amazingly which is why i bought them since i live in upstate New York. On a recent trip i wanted to compare them to my old skis (rossignol rebel) and on my rebels which were recently tuned i was losing my edge on ice when i hopped on the V3 they held onto all the icy spots that the rebels would slide out on. Also I had the priveleget to test them in 18 inches of powder my friend on his bandit XX was killing my ski but all in all the V3 handled the powder pretty well. You needed a higher rate of speed to float seeing it has a narrow waist but they handled the powder fairly well. All in all this ski is definitly made for carving and it handles ice like its packed powder. also the construction of the ski is very durable ive hit some rocks that I thought would rip an edge right out and only suffered minor scratches.

Price Paid:  $350.00 at Joe Jones - North Co

Summary:
Volkl's Carver V3 is the perfect ski for high-speed cruising. For the typically hard-packed conditions in the East, these skis are phenomenal. Very stable even at high speeds, excellent grip on hard snow & a very fun ski overall. Does well in powder and crud, too. If you stick to mostly groomed blue squre and black diamond "cruising" runs, these skis are worth a serious look.
