Price Paid:  $349.00 at Snow and Rock

Summary:
The Mothership is one of the best skis I've ever owned. Opt for the 192cm ski and it features an additional layer of titanal and also less tail kick for a longer running surface and better freeride ability. It's rather soft in longitudinal flex (which I like) but it nevertheless holds a rail well on groomers. Obviously it's got plenty of float in deeper snow. Just about the only thing that upsets it is refrozen mank/death cookies but very few skis as light as the Moship can handle these sort of conditions. It's got a very tight turn radius for a fat ski which means that if you're looking for a ski to harvest pow stashes in glades and trees, the Mothership is a good call. The bases seem pretty durable although I've had to have a cap lift repaired after ten days on the hill which will mean a return under warranty. The topsheet is a lot more durable than my old K2 AK Launchers.

Customer Service:
Nice guys at Snow and Rock but I get the impression only a select handful know what they're actually talkking about.

Similar Products Used:
K2 AK Launcher, Salomon 1080
