Day Hiker
Price Paid:
$0.00 Summary: Like other reports here, my Salomon snowshoes broke in the tail, and although they know of the problem, Salomon is not changing the design, and they are not helping me. Salomon is now my last choice in manufacturer - and my friends are moving away from Salomon too because of my experience.
I wasted not only the money on the showsoes, but on the special boot that clips in.

at sojourns store -barr Summary: Solomon should be ashamed of themselves! I have the snsxadventure snowshoe the same one which is in the photo( lower ski photo) and there is a manufacture defect!! the plastic at the back of the snowshoe snapped and the other shoe is white- showing weakness- they are only used occasionally for pleasure- sojourn's store in barrie ontario -sent them to solomon and they gave me no refund or credit toward another snowshoe- I would never buy another solomon product as long as i live- I have wasted my 200.00 -trusting the solomon name- and i am left with a pair of broken snowshoes!! at christmas Home or Favorite Resort: Nelson Product Year: 2002 Summary: SALOMON SNOW SHOES. I really like this product. It is great for a beginner. I have also got 3 other people hooked on snow shoing now. but i would like to know what boots go with the salomon snow shoes? Strengths: easy and fun to use and you can ski short distances on them. Weaknesses: the palstic frame seems a little week at times. the plastic is geting a little white in the high stress areas Similar Products Used: i dont have anything to judge this product against so take my star ratings with a grain of salt.

at Europe Bound Home or Favorite Resort: Laurentians, Quebec Product Year: 2002 Summary: Durable, extra light, easy to walk and run and can switch to the Salomon Blades with the same Salomon boot. Can use either any boot or the binding Salomon boot. I have raced in the Salomon Winter Challenge and I loved it. You can even sliude down a steep hill if sitting on your heel because they are parachute style which gives you ability. Strengths: Light and easy to put on and take off. Weaknesses: At pressure areas the plastic has shown signs of white colour which is a sign of stretch and weakness but has not broken yet. Similar Products Used: msr
