(Note: I'm not a BackCountry Skier, I'm an Advanced Alpine Skier, but I wasn't offered that choice.)
This would've probably been a great boot if my right shin hadn't taken a pounding in past activities. It fit my feet perfectly and felt great in that respect, but the Salomon boots (with the exception of the Verse soft) are just too brutal on my shins. Maybe if I was still 20 instead of 20 X 2... I didn't get to ski in this pair of boots, but they felt like they would have been good responsive performers. I've heard that they can also be comfortable if one has the patience to break them in. I didn't want to spend a half dozen ski trips hurting and miserable waiting for that to happen. Customer Service:
