at liqidation sale Home or Favorite Resort: Mt. Bachelor Summary: I tried out my wife's 170's which she has always loved and was amazed with this ski. Extremely stable, carves great and really fun. This ski is a sleeper. Anyone under 150lbs could race GS on these skis and not give away a bit to skiers on much more expensive skis. The tail is a bit narrow so one can get away with pushing it around, but skied right thet hold right in there. Strengths: Carving, grip, versatle handles speed well Weaknesses: Maybe harsh in crud for lighter skiers but were fine for me Similar Products Used: Just about everything. Skied on race stock Atomic 10.22s for a few days before trying these. They offer a bit more grip but are no more stable.

at sport chalet Home or Favorite Resort: Mammouth Product Year: 00-01 Summary: I like these skis. They seem to turn fast, but they were pretty bad on deep powder on an expert run. They are better than my old Atomic straight skis, though I think skill is more important than equipment in any sport. I tried out some very pricey Dynstar 66's and I can say they were any better than these Atomics. I got a good deal on them and plan on keeping them for a long time. Strengths: Good all around ski. Weaknesses: None that I know of Similar Products Used: None

$295.00 Home or Favorite Resort: Taos Product Year: 00-01 Summary: These skis have got me pumped aabout skiing again (not hard to do though). Skied K2 5500 for 10 years and they took me everywhere but there was a Huge improvement across the board with the 8.20. At 6' and about 150 lbs. I went with 180's and they're perfect. Like to ski kinda fast and these skis are right there. I also like that they don't want to turn you back uphill as much as some of the bigger shapes. A great ski at a good price! Strengths: Awesome. Short turns, long turns, hold midwest ice well. Did well in soft spring snow. Love em!! Weaknesses: None that I know of, haven't been in deep powder with em yet. Similar Products Used: xsream7, k2 Modx

Weaknesses: None Significant (Maybe price but price is still great) Similar Products Used: Volkl IceEdge

, from Harrisonburg, Va. Home or Favorite Resort: Massanutten (home, not fav.) Product Year: 00-01 Summary: pretty fun ski for some fairly agressive romping around. fairly versatile. not for beginner skiers, but probably would leave something to be desired for an "all I want to do is race" type skier, too. fun for the east coast style (not too steep, not too deep)free-rider. Strengths: very snappy. seems to be comfortable with any length turn. likes the groomers or not so deep freshies. great at moderate speeds. has decent edge grip. Weaknesses: does not like crud or deep snow. not so stable at ludicrous speeds. has a terminal velocity. very small sweet spot. Similar Products Used: Dynastar Speed SX
