Review Abstract
The Bandit X is a “very responsive and energetic ski” and can handle “all speeds and all terrain.” Reviewers love the “great performance” and say the Bandits are “sturdy at high speeds.” One skier says they “handle like a dream in the powder and steeps.” These “very forgiving” skis can go anywhere and maintain their “magnificent smoothness.” These “easy-to-use” and “silky” skis are a top pick among skiers.

Price Paid:  $0.00

Product Year:
2002

Summary:
If you are looking at Bandit X reviews, make sure you look at the product year. Major improvements (in my opinion) to the ski were made in the 01-02 model and will be carried forward in 02-03. The 2000 and earlier model is less energetic, and doesn't hold its edge as well.

After demoing the skis listed below, I purchased the Bandit X because for my skiing, it has no weakness. The more energetic (G3) or wider skis (XX) were great fun, but really tough in the bumps where I spend half my day. The Bandit X is forgiving and quick enough in the bumps, while being quite energetic on hard pack, wide enough to float on snow days, and holds an edge on the slicks. Before this ski, I wouldn't have thought one ski could do everything well.

Strengths:
Quickness and forgiveness in bumps, energetic stable GS turns, floats in powder, holds acceptably on ice.
I am 6'2" and 180 lbs.. I bought the 177's which only come up to my chin. By far, the shortest ski I've owned in my adult life. If you are demoing, you should try at least one shorty. You may surprise yourself with an instant improvement in your skiing. "They" will tell you short skis lack stability. Not true in my experience with high-end, shaped skis.

Weaknesses:
There are more energetic skis (I loved the G3), but they'll kick you around in bumps.
If you don't ski bumps, and spend time in the bowls, try the Bandit XX, it's a blast.

Product Year:

Summary:
no matter how these skis ride i know i got a deal it cost me 20 bucks to send in my bandits from the season prior, that were broke at loveland ski area , my first time out in co.well second but anyways i didn't expect them to replace them and not only did they send me new skis promptly they sent me the bandit x's for a replacement . Thanks goes out to rossi.Next season they will get(or sometime this summer depends on new boots)look TT 9.0, mounted and will get put to the test at Berthoud pass ski area. And if that guy really only dropped a tenfooter and broke skis i am in for some real trouble.see you next season on skis shawn.

Strengths:
haven't rode them yet just got them but if they are as good as the bandits they replaced they will be just fine.I have noticed that they have a widder waist and may not be as quick edge to egde as my bandits but that will make me work a little harder then.

Weaknesses:
None

i have ridden volants in the past , they are way to heavy. i had bandits and they were fine. Rode on the salomon pilot seeies and felt they were to slow edge to edge.rode on the dynastar 4x4's and fetl they were much quicker and i was ripping up loveland like it was my home resort and having to be told to slow down was a trip.

Summary:
demoed this ski in steamboat along with the x scream. This ski kicked ass! I was used to sking my 10yr old K2 kvcs, what a difference. I had a huge grin on my face all day. This was the first shaped ski I tried. These skis love to turn, the more you put in, the more you get out. If your a cruiser or tend to slide through your turns these skis may catch an edge, but if you ski hard and love carving turns, then you'll be smiling too. The tails seemed a little soft, especially in the bumps, but I think I could get used that. The demos I tried were this years ski and the tops were allready a pretty worn, but the bases and edges appeared to be holding up well. I'm 6ft 180, loved the 184's, the 191's were'nt as lively. Tried the soloman x screams, they didn't seem much different than my old K2's. I'll probably demo a few more models, but doubt I'll find anything as fun.

Strengths:
amazing turns short or long

Weaknesses:
soft tail

Killington

Product Year:

Summary:
I love this ski. It rips on the east coast, but treated me just as well on my trips to Utah, Whistler, and Colorado. I take these in the woods at Mad River, and what they have at Killington and the skies perform.

Unfortunatly they do break with a degree of punishment.

Strengths:
Extremely fast, and carveable on groomed runs. Floats well over crude and powder and will not hesitate to take this ski in the woods.

Weaknesses:
I broke two, one on the rear binding screws and another on the front binding screws (Both times dropping of cliffs over ten feet) if that is any consillation.
