Description This mid-fat is good for tight shots, crud, and you can even take it in the bumps-just don't hit 'em too hard or you might end up with a reverse camber.
Picture and Description for Model Yea...
Summary: K2 EL Camino. A great Ski, Stable at high speeds, Easy to manuever in tight spots, handles moguls well, a great all around mountain ski.
Strengths: High Stability at high speeds, unbreakable, shreds the bumps and crud as well or better than anything currently on the market. Highly responsive, if you have the ability, the ski will carve to no end.
Weaknesses: Powder is a little tricky, and moguls can serve as a problem if the ruts are too Deep. Doesnt like ice very much. If you are not a borderline type II to type III skier, then you may have to work a little harder to get the ski to carve. I have been skiing on them for about 5 years and have noticed that the legs do have to work a little harder compared to a highly shaped ski such as the Atomic Supercross, or Volkl's race ski.

Summary: I have had a bunch of skis over the years but love these the most. I love to ski but i'm also 17 so I love to go big, I love these skis because they feel so stable when landing from 15 feet in the air. They are also great for sharp turns and flying down the hill. I'm also a big fan of the twin tip design, great for landing backwards!
Strengths: very stable, look sick, nice amount of pop when jumping.
Weaknesses: chatter when going fast, a little bit heavy.

Summary: I found these for $79 + tax at Vail Ski Tech. They were demos from the 00-01 Season. The bases are in excellent shape. I took them through just about everything and had a blast. Very easy initiation from edge to edge. Held very stable at over 40 mph. Tip 'em and rip 'em!
Strengths: Excellent edge to edge, very easy to initiate turn, stable at speed.
Weaknesses: They drive like a Cadillac, smooth and steady, not a lot of umph out of the turns.

Summary: I have "driven" many skis to the edge, and back, and have never fully enjoyed a ski as much as this one.
It initiates effortlessly in even the gnarliest crud, and doesn't give up in the bumps, trees, or steeps.
Strengths: Quick to turn
Excellent flotation for a mid-fat
Tenacious edge grip
Excellent rebound energy
Weaknesses: Can chatter at higher speeds
Requires skill (not an intermediate ski)

Summary: This ski has a lot more spring out of the turn than other volant models. The ski performs best at higher speeds. It does well in moguls, and on the groomed as long as it is kept on edge. It really shines in spring crud, trees, and powder. You can go shorter than you think with these skis. I am 46 yrs. old, 5'10" & 150 lbs. and ski on the 183cm, but I think the 179cm would have been the better choice. (It's tough for us old guys to accept that short skis don't suck any more!) This ski is a great ski for an agressive expert.
