at Sport Mart Home or Favorite Resort: Iowa Product Year: 2002 Summary: Top of the line parka. You'd be hard pressed to find a better coat for any amount of money. I suspect this coat would be sufficient in any enviornment except for the most extreme peaks. Strengths: Extremely warm. I am comfortable in -30 wind chills in the coat. Rated at 10,000 mm of waterproofness, meaning the coat is pretty much impenetrable. 10,000 mg of breathablity is also far above par. Very comfortable, no restriction in arm movement. Hood fits well, good protection with good visability also. Weaknesses: Don't like the placement of the hand pockets. Very awkward trying to get your hands in them. Similar Products Used: Other winter coats of varying styles.

at galyan's Home or Favorite Resort: st louis Product Year: 2002 Summary: this parka thing rules! i walk around outside in the 10 degree weather wearing only a white t-shirt..
i gave it 4 stars because 5 stars was for a "bargain." Strengths: it's warm. and with the hood on, you can still see off to the side. and you can wave your arms around. Weaknesses: it has no pockets for my hands! the outside pockets are for storing junk. Similar Products Used: nike

at Sports Authority Home or Favorite Resort: Vermont Product Year: 2002 Summary: This jacket rocks! I've owned other top brands of outdoor gear and this one takes the cake! The list price is $319, which I found a bit pricey, but I caught a sale on Sports Authority.com for $239, but even at $319 I would have been pleased. Strengths: 3 jackets in one, waterproof unless someone turns the hose on you, great hood, inner jacket is stylish on it's own, easy to zip in and out Weaknesses: tendency to get static-y. A spray of Static Guard cures that quick. Similar Products Used: North Face, Marmot

at campmor Home or Favorite Resort: seven springs Summary: I have been wearing columbia gear for years and have always been very impressed with the durability and quality of the garments. my complete ski gear setup is all columbia. Strengths: Very functional jacket with all the options. Great looking Weaknesses: When I took the jacket on the slopes and took my first spell the thing tore. The fall actually ripped the sleeve. I was very disappointed for my first high-end jacket to rip on the first lame fall. I have had other Columbia jackets and fell ten times harder and not even a scratch so for a jacket to be labeled titanium and tear on a very minor fall was very disappointing. I sent the jacket to Columbia for repairs. It was lamely repaired not even sure if it was repaired correctly so I am back to wearing my boulder ridge. So save your money stick to the basics and avoid the high-end jackets. Similar Products Used: Columbia bugaboo and boulder ridge
