Summary:
I own a mbs razor, use it for kitewing and bombing big downhills in the dirt. Looking for some new springs to put in it thinking it stiffen it up and fix the hardcore speed wobbles I get doing speed runs with the kite. all in all I weigh 90kgs and push this board past its breaking point, still bounces back with a good pop. can anyone get me springs in perth??? email me at southwestwa@hotmail.com

Summary:
After doing a little looking around, I decided to pick this board up on ebay. After it arrived, I cleaned all the rust it had accumulated from the previous owners neglect (yard ornament), and hit the closest park.
After a few runs getting used to the feel of the board, I became fairly confident. I've been snowboarding for 4 years, which definitely helped with my learning curve.
Although different from snowboarding, mountainboarding is close. You can quite slide it like a snowboard, and it reacts much more to steering input (gotta be careful, or you'll throw yourself off), but I found myself using many of the same techniques.
This board is pretty well built, and the deck has some good pop in it for jumping, or just soaking up a few bumps. The trucks are solidly built, and I've put my 260 pound friend on the board, and it handled him fairly well.
My main gripe about this board is that the trucks do not have adjustable spring positions. The position it uses, with the springs close to the center, feels rather loose, even for my 120-pound self. My dad, who is only a few pounds over the recomended limit for this board, found the spring set-up to be far too loose. This also creates another problem: at speeds much above 10 mph, this board is quite twitchy, and requires you to keep a hard foot on it to keep it aimed. Faster, and it can start to wobble, which is scarey, and dangerous in tight places. The newer generations of MBS boards fix this problem with adjustable spring positions, and, on the newest trucks, adjustable spring tension.

Summary:
(Paid in AUS Dollars). So much has been said about the Razor compared to most of the others out there and most of it is pretty good. While some people gripe about it, most including me love it. This is one sick board and if you are just coming into mountainboarding then I recomend this board (if you can get it) or the more improved (and expensive) Comp 16 also by MBS. A lot of people compare this board with the Blade but these are really quite different boards. The Blade is a FREERIDE board (mainly) and The Razor is a FREESTYLE board. Before buying, you should think about the style of riding you prefer. The good things about the Razor is that it is light(ish) and that it turns on a dile. Carving comes easy with this board and is very responsive. Take this board done the skate park and bust 360's, Methods, you name it. 50-50's and board slides can be done but do not recomend if you want the full life out of your board. The only gripe I have about it is that it can get a bit sketchy when higher speeds are reached. This is because the springs are quite close together for good turning and when doing tricks. THis is where you can come undone but carving the board not going straight fixes this. Also watch your weight. The new boards out now incorperate heavier riders but the Razor doesnt so if your over 90 kg think about another board or go for the Comp 16. Other than those very minor probs this board is a must. You wont regret!

Summary:
This is a fabulous board, that is fun to ride for all levels of riders. Its my first board and possibly my last( if it doesn't break or somethin) Smooth ride and landing, easy grabs and jumps make this product very good. I recommend you buy it.
