2000 Summary:
With the handy features, excellent reception, and simple operation, this compact unit is a great value. My son (5 years old) was able to learn how to operate the unit in a very short time. The other brands were more difficult for him to learn if at all. I use these radios to keep track of him when he visits a neighbor and when he is taking a ski lesson and I am skiing on other terrain. I also like the handy monitor feature, and the luminescent backlight which is very funtional and it automatically turns off so that it does not drain the batteries. Strengths:
