at Boardzone Favorite place to ride: Blue Mtn. Riding Style: FreeStyle Product Year: 2002 Summary: Amazing binding, addapts to most climates and snow styles. Most ppl say they clog up and this is there so called "down side", they surely dont know how to prevent it. I bought a ski/snowboard binding de-icer for $15 two seasons ago, and its still half full. With an hours dry time, i have had no problems with sno cloging, and has NEVER came undone, im so trustworth in these bindings, theres no need to even lock them. Thus do to alot of hiking, in and out. still no problems =] Give em a try i give em 5 outa 5. pce Strengths: Fast entry and exit.
Strong binding, has been through alot of $hit.
Very Very light.(w/k2 firebird hb boots). Weaknesses: Waiting countless minutes at the top of the mountain as your friends do up there ratchets. :D Similar Products Used: Burton SI (stepins) <-- dont trust em.
Burton freestyle ratchets.
Old school k2 flat bindings (On jib deck, slides under jeep seats perfect. =]

$0.00 Favorite place to ride: East Coast Ice land Riding Style: All Mountain/Freeride Product Year: 2000 Summary: Easy and fast step-in binding. Strengths: Good toe-side heal-side interface makes transitions fast and accurate.
Relatively light weight.
Strong and durable HB.
HB flex is about right for cross freeride / park.
Adjustable horizontal mounting angles via rubber inserts.
Best for first year/second year riders. Weaknesses: After three seasons, the slop that these bindings/boots have developed make them unusable.
Rotational slop has increased significantly with use. Lateral slop has increased slightly.
Most notibly, last year I've had these bindings release in transit no less than five times despite the "postive" click (when entering the binding at the top of the hill).
I've had these bindings release three times while in the air leading to very nasty knee torque upon landing and wiping-out. The release lever was always in the locked position.
The reason always appeared to be ice / snow jammed into the boot binding knuckle which can lead you to believe that you are "in" initially.
The ice problem becomes more pronounced with fresh packable snow.
This situation is very dangerous under speed or in the air and becomes more likely with wear between the boot/binding interface.
When the binding releases in transit, you are totally out of control!
Do to these reasons I will be changing my bindings / type this season and will only use the clickers on my back-up board. Similar Products Used: Switch, Flow

at ebay Favorite place to ride: Vermont Riding Style: All Mountain/Freeride Product Year: 2000 Summary: These bindings are technology at work Strengths: Quick in/out
Great response, lightweight, durable, make storage of board very nice, comfortable, my favorite binding on the market.
Never go back to manual bindings...."leave the stap-ons for the women!" Weaknesses: Screws loosen up as you use the binding. I found by coating the threads with loc tite or some other flexible gasket maker the screws will never cause you a problem.
Some clogging in deep snow. Doesnt really bother me. I spray the metal with car de-icer and that helps. Similar Products Used: switch-naa not as responsive
k2 sst flush mount-same concept but walking in those stiff boots difficult! Would not recommend them

$0.00 Favorite place to ride: Whistler Riding Style: All Mountain/Freeride Product Year: 2000 Summary: Great edge-to-edge response and carving ability, not great for landing big air. Strengths: Edge-to-edge response is the quickest around. If you like to carve on groomed runs then these are a good idea. I ride a 99 Nitro Shadow which has a really agressive side cut for quick turns. That plus the great edge-to-edge response allow mw to ride with a really aggressive salom style on groomed runs.
They also give your board a low-profile when you fold down the high-back and stow the board on your roof rack. Weaknesses: Not the greatest for landing big air. Hard to get them to click in in deep powder. Similar Products Used: Straps, switch step-ins (suck).

, from Sammamish, WA, USA Favorite place to ride: Whistler Riding Style: Groomed/Slalom Product Year: 2001 Summary: A decent binding which is good for beginners/intermediates. Snow clog can be virtually eliminarted reduced by spraying both the boot bottom and bindings with Pledge and as a bonus they smell lemony fresh. Strengths: Entry is very fast. Don't have to sit down. High back is nice on heel side turns Weaknesses: Still clogs with snow when the snow is wet. Similar Products Used: Rosignol step-ins
