Burton Zone 2001

Burton Zone 2001

Description
me riders prefer a boot that flexes smooth and easy. Some riders prefer leather. Dave Downing is one of those riders, and his development goes into these boots.

Product Year:

Summary:
Good boots , I like the idea of the removable plastic tongue for a stiffer and flexier feel .

Strengths:
Very warm and waterproof , comfortable after being breaked in , very high tech

Weaknesses:
Crappy Design , the boot is a bit to loose at the toe even though you tighten it the binding strap punches it in and it's very uncomfortable

Riding Style:

Product Year:
2001

Summary:
Do not buy boots online unless you try them on in a store first!

That's what I did, and that's why I got stuck with ill-fitting boots. I think these boots could be better, but I bought 1/2 size too big.

The liner in these boots are very comfortable, but I don't like the fact that they don't lace up. A lace up liner would make these boots fit better. I also have big calves, so the liner does not completely close around my lower leg/ankle area - which also equals bad fit and heel lift.

The liner is heat moldable, which would be great if the liner actually fit your foot. This wasn't the case for me.

I got tremendous heel lift in these boots. Not to mention painful toes from my toes slamming into the fronts of these boots (again because they were too big).

I didn't like the laces on the outside. Like another reviewer said, it's hard to get them laced tightly without ripping up your hands. I cut up my pinky fingers trying to get these boots tighter.

The adjustable stiffness piece in the tongue of the boot is cool, and they fit great in Burton bindings. They are also a very nice color. Too bad I just bought the wrong boot for me.

Anyone want to buy a pair of very minimally used (3 times) Burton Zone boots? (size 10 - give me your best offer!) :)

Strengths:
Nice color. I like the adjustable stiffness piece in the tongue. Fit great in Burton bindings. Comfy heat-moldable liner if they fit your foot and lower leg. If they fit you, and you can get them for a good price, then go for it! (wanna buy mine?)

Weaknesses:
No inner lace-up liner. No lace locks on outside of boot - so you cut up your hands trying to get them tighter. Liner does not fit all leg and foot shapes. If boot is not an exact fit, you will get major heel lift and painful toes.

pretty good over all... it would be better if you would get it tighter without having to rip up your hands with the laces on the out side

Strengths:
pretty damn good boot, its it awesomely warm and the 4d liner makes it pretty damn comfortable

Weaknesses:
could have an inside lace to make it tighter, my feet got wet twice.. which never happened with my old boots.

Strengths:
extremely comfortable, my feet never get wet, and are always warm ,the best boot i've ever used and i will definitly buy another one when my foot grows out of this pair.
