Price Paid:  $140.00 at Sport Chalet

Favorite place to ride:
Bear Mountain

Riding Style:
FreeStyle

Product Year:
2001

Summary:
I bought these when they first came out and used them all the way into the '03 season because I was broke. In short, these boots are great for beginners or those who aren't serious about performance because they are all about comfort. Only uncomfortable thing was the binding strap digging into the thinly padded tongue but that might be just my bindings.

Strengths:
Very comfortable and light. Cushioned landings when going big off jumps. Keeps feet warm and dry. Feet are happy at the end of the day.

Weaknesses:
Too flexible, and become too soft after one season. Heel lift. Not enough padding on tongue which causes the binding straps to dig into your feet. Soles don't provide enough traction.

Product Year:
2001

Summary:
great boots,keep your tootsies warm

Strengths:
like my other reviews im cheap so PRICE.Look nice.Don't remember feet getting very cold..ever.comfortable to walk in when not strapped to the board (sometimes actually drive home in them...weird huh),pretty good fit with my drake bindings thats why i went with northwave..also have the model with the stiifer linera nd web that goes and the back of the liner.EXCELLENT CUSTOMER service, took the plastic lace cinch off, once pulled off...can't get it back on, called up company sen me new set of plastic lace cinches and brand new pair of lacs for the boots and for the liners w/o even asking!!!

Weaknesses:
Sometimes if i wear them for more then 5 hours straight toes start to hurt a bit (big time on the pinky toes), not sure if this with all boots but i tried waterproofing with nixwax and every type of waterproofing spray and toes still get a little wet after a few hours of riding..not terrible but think that why my toes start to bother me a bit.Only other thing...doesn't really affect performance but after resting my board on top of my right boot while on the lift a few times noticed two 1/4" cuts in the material where you can see the white below it...should rubberize the tops better

Summary:
Right out of the box, these were much better than any other boot i have worn. They break in incredibly fast and never cause any discomfort.

Strengths:
Breaks in easily and the harder tongue help with heel lift. Incredibly dry.

Weaknesses:
may get uncomfortable after a long days riding.

I use a pari of ride (i think)boots the three years before, and they don't even come close to this comfort.

Summary:
Great boot, love it. Keeps my feet warm and comfortable mostly. Never lets a drop of water in. Good traction, less overhang then most boots i've seen even with 11s.

Strengths:
The boot fits well, stays completely bone dry and looks sweet. My toes hurt some after 3-5 hours but its not bad.

Weaknesses:

Price Paid:  $199.00

Favorite place to ride:
Snowshoe

Riding Style:
All Mountain/Freeride

Product Year:
2000

Summary:
A decent boot, haven't had any problems except for the liner ripping. Very poor stitching

Strengths:
These boots have very good ankle support, stiff backing. Provides a somewhat cushioned landing when going over jumps. The inner lacing system comes in very handy for that extra support. Overall, they are a very satisfying boot.

Weaknesses:
I laced my boots up very tight and the inner lacing system broke away from the liner which caused water to get in and soak my feet. I was very pissed. Very poor stitching. I have only had them for 2 months and the liner is already ripped.

Similar Products Used:
Burton- they had been worn for four years and were very comfortable, almost like tennis shoes
