Favorite place to ride:
sierra @ tahoe

Riding Style:
All Mountain/Freeride

Product Year:
2000

Summary:
the boot construction is excellent all around. i mostly freeride but when i want to take on the park all i need to do is tighten up the laces just a bit and the adjust the ankle strap and im ready to go. also these boots plus the correct high back step in binding (i have the drake formula) definitley equal an excellent interface between you and your board.
to put it simply these boots ROCK!!!!!

Strengths:
boot is comfortable, but after a while i get a pain in the balls of my feet but if i loosen the laces a bit it goes away. the integrated switch bail is a big plus. i have a pair of vans and without the bail and they are heavy. so the added hardware can add more weight and when trying to walk from the car to the lift and be tiring heavy bootS on. the removable impact-biomex liner with its own laces and traction on the bottom is a very smart. and the boot looks great too.

Weaknesses:
the liner's laces could be a bit longer. and the footbed could use a little more cushion, but that's easily fixed if you consult "Dr. Scholl's".

Favorite place to ride:
Grand Targhee

Riding Style:
All Mountain/Freeride

Product Year:
2000

Summary:
Great boot that delivers a great ride while looking good at the same time. the boot is also shorter than most boots for the same size. its like having a size 10 boot and size 11 feet. otherwise, the boot is not as large as most with the same ammount of room inside.

Strengths:
Great Boot!!! Love the look perfomance it delivers. the botom of the boot is solid (stiff) so there is no movement between bindng and boot, which makes a great ride down the mountin that feels like your using a strap binding and boot. The boot is solid and made well, will not fall apart. the best thing about it is the adjustable built-in strap on the boot that allows you do determine how stiff you want the boot to feel. looser and you will have more ankel movement, tighter and you will have less ankel movement. this makes the boot great for all types of riders.

Weaknesses:
because the boot is stiff on the bottom, your feet can start to hurt after 5 to 6 hours of use. Suggestion: put another soal in the boot (one that will absorb shock and cushin your foot), or lossen the boot at lunch time. Your foot will only hurt afte extensive use and this problem can easily be solved. This slight problem is worth the pain becasue of the great ride you get out of it. If the bottom of the boot was not as stiff, your ride would suck tremendously.

Riding Style:
All Mountain/Freeride

Product Year:

Summary:
great boot, feels like my old strap-ins. Nice not having a stiff boot in a step in but instead a true highback (Switch AX-8/9, Drake Formula). Sinch straps comfortable and secure, buckles never freeze up

Strengths:
looks and feels great on your feet, nice to be able to switch your liners

Weaknesses:
make step in plate removable, so boot can also be used as strap in
