, from South Lake Tahoe Favorite place to ride: Tahoe Riding Style: All Mountain/Freeride Product Year: 2000 Summary: I love my boots! I couldn't be more satisfied with them. Shimano makes an execellent product here! I rode up a lift at Heavenly with one of the R&D guys from Shimano and he was real cool and interested in my ideas about the boots. Strengths: The comfort is execptional, absolutely no heel lift, very nice flex once they are broken in, I've never gotten cold feet in them, and the toe-heel response is super. Weaknesses: Sometimes wet snow will freeze in the cleats. This only happened to me twice and all I had to do was kick my boots together. Similar Products Used: Vans Switch, DNRs, non-HB clickers, and normal straps.

, from Oxford, UK Favorite place to ride: Whistler Riding Style: All Mountain/Freeride Product Year: 2000 Summary: There must be something odd about British feet - four of us went to Canada and all ended up riding these boots for the fit and adjustability they gave. Awesome performance with the Clicker HB binding - these boots encourage you to ratchet them up tight and really go for it on the mountain. Then pop off the ratchet for a comfy ride back up on the lift. Strengths: These boots fit my feet great (wide toes, narrow heels). They are stiff boots which give great board control. The excellent lacing system coupled with the ratchet ankle strap and calf power-strap let me customise the fit to give plenty of toe room with zero heel-lift. Weaknesses: A bit stiff for walking, but it's worth it for the board control you get. I got cold toes on odd occassions - the solution was to sacrifice a touch of performance by loosening up the ankle strap a notch or two. Similar Products Used: I tried Burton Ruler step-in boots - the total opposite to these. Tight toes, floppy heel and too short for my feet.

, from Seattle Favorite place to ride: Whistler/Baker Riding Style: All Mountain/ Freeride Product Year: 2000 Summary: The most comfortable boot I've used while still holding my heel in place. Very low profile (good board feel) The guy with the first review was talking about the 99 cornice. Strengths: Comfort, comfort, comfort, and performance Weaknesses: I usually like linered boots better but you couldn't get the boot to be as low profile if it was linered. , from Ferndale, Wa USA Favorite place to ride: Mt. Baker & Whistler Blackcomb Riding Style: All Mountain/ Freeride Product Year: 1999 Summary: The only complaint is the serious stiffness of the boot. I am locked in one position all day long with little movement. Strengths: This boot looks very nice. The straps keep you in real tight. Weaknesses: The built-in high back is really hard to walk in. The stiff sole is sort of tough on the feet after a whole days riding. Similar Products Used: Burton Ruler Si.
