Summary:
I have the 08 Custom X, wicked graphics. I took me a couple of time to get use to the board and recommend detuning the nose and tale immediately. After riding it for a wile I decided it was time for a tuning and detuned the base edge to 2 degrees and kept the side edge at 90. This made the biggest difference when hitting jib and rails; with the 2 degree base edge I still get amazing control on ice and the entire mountain. The board is stiff and requires a lot of practice to master presses because to have to press very hard which can throw off your balance. Also when hitting kicker and jump you can press the board hard and get great pop, this takes more practice then other board because the carbon I-beam is stiff. The board moves fast and with a great wax job you can make you heart race, I love to dip out on my friend and wait for them at the bottom. My favorite feature about this board is the way it handles in the power, it just floats and fast.

Over all I would not recommend this board because no one can handle the cool like me.

Summary:
Great board. I can go faster than I ever could and feel stable. Only complaint is its very stiff for jib and doing butters. Not to say you can't use for that but I wouldn't buy it if I planned on using it for jib only.
I only put 5 stars for value because of the price I paid. At full price I give it a 2.

Summary:
I bought de 'Custom 156 X', because my 5 years old 'Custom 160' felt 'too long', I had to work hard on turns, though it was very fast. (I'm 70kg, 1,69m).
I heard great stories about the 'X'. The shorter '156 X' changed snowboarding completely for me! It's lighter, stiffer, faster, it's responding much quicker: it grabs, it's edgy. It just goes where you point it to, also on very 'icy pistes'. It wil hold and keeps accellerating, you're allways in control.
The only 'downside': it's not very forgiving, because it grabs that well, for beginners. But for intermediates, like myself, it's a perfect allrounder.

Summary:
On my second custom x, a 2007 model.Tried it n liked it as an all rounder but mainly its fast edge to edge and light quick respose. However have found on both boards base cant hold the wax and general build quality like many burtons seems crap and mass produced. It still cant beat my faithfull 05 zeppelin but its still a great board to ride fast !!

Summary:
I got this board 3 weeks ago and just tried it last week. I am intermediate snowboarder and used to have Arbor Crossbow 158 and loved it. It was the fastest board I have tried so far but wasnt suited for every snow condition. However my Burton Custom X 2007 board, men it is the best so far. This board sticks to the snow and hold you on ever condition from powder to groomed. I have done so many tricks but on natural grounds not the park. it can go fast, make sharp turns and this board feels what you want to do and gets you there. I can definitely recommend Custom X. It definetely worths what you pay. Now I have got two boards I love but Burton gets the first place.
