Reviewed by: John Bertieri ,  Advanced , from Natrona Heights, PA, USA

Price Paid:  $199.00 at Willie's Preseason S

Favorite place to ride:
Snowshoe WV

Riding Style:
Groomed/Slalom

Product Year:
2001

Summary:
It is a very good beginner board. It is easy to learn on. It was my first board and it was a good start. You have to fight it to carve sometimes. It teaches you your limits, that's for sure. I thought it was how all boards rode until I started riding my friends Neversummer and my Illuminati and I realized that the Rossie was really a beginner board.

Strengths:
Great for beginners. Durable surface. It can take punishment and still be fine.

Weaknesses:
Edges/edge control is difficult. Not a great trick board by any means. Must be forced into turns sometimes. Slow responsiveness.

Similar Products Used:
Illuminati Pentago. Neversummer SL. Burton Custom.

Favorite place to ride:
seven springs, PA

Riding Style:
FreeStyle

Product Year:
2001

Summary:
I just boaght this board it is exellent at first I thoaght it would be to stiff but when i through it down in the terain park it out did it self it is supose to be a directional freeride board but i don't think I've rode i better board for freestyle

Strengths:
Stiff enough to go big and ollie high stable enough for beginers to stomp tricks yet still quick enough to beat my freind in race after race.

Weaknesses:
none really but i would'nt mind wider nose and a less scratchable top.

Price Paid:  $260.00

Favorite place to ride:
Perisher

Riding Style:
All Mountain/Freeride

Product Year:
2001

Summary:
I chose the stiffest Nomad out of all the Nomads I could find in the shop. They vary quite a bit from board to board I was suprised. So I guess i dont have the stiffness problems like alot of others. I wanted a Strato but they couldnt get them in, DAMN!!
But this is still a sweet board and cheep!!

Strengths:
Excelent in powder and softer snow, very cheap, seems unusally wide for a non wide board.

Weaknesses:
It does not like bumps at all!! very unforgiving.
Not good on ice, doesnt hold an edge well on all on ice.
As soon as you hear that ice noise terror grips you!
