Review Abstract
“This is the most stable board I have ever ridden,” raves one boarder. “You can fly down the mountain without fear.” The Premier “grips like Velcro” and “carves like a surgeon”—and it is guaranteed for two years, making it a valuable investment. Reviewers say it “holds an edge in nearly any condition” and is extremely “stable and durable.” Boarders like the Premier’s agility, saying it is “easy to handle in the trees” and “floats in the powder.” With a “strong absorption system,” says one boarder, it “eats up crud” and “does exactly what you want it to.”

Summary:
i've ridden it for 1+1/2 seasons and i'm just never going to like it. i opted for the last year's premiere 161 because the boardroom guys gave me such an awesome deal and offered to take it back, no questions or hassles, if i didn't like it. i sold my old supermodel to a friend right away and there was no way i was taking my new ride back in the middle of powder season. but alas, i should have demo'ed it first and you should too, no matter what board you're considering. all of these reviews aren't worth s.h.i.t.e. next to actually trying the board before buying it. my fault, my loss. here's why...

Strengths:
- nice graphics. dark and smokey, not a hint of bling bling flash.
- tough-ass edges. i think i've probably broken a few rocks when it should have been the other way.
- durable everywhere else too. has held up well after a lot of use, cosmetically and structurally.

Weaknesses:
- dead ride, feels heavy. i find it very tiring to ride for a full day.
- 8 binding holes front and rear giving only 3 setting options each...
- nosedives in powder unless the bindings are set way back which sucks for riding hard-pack or cat-tracks.
- even when sharpened edges don't like the ice very much and the scrape from these edges is louder than any board i've owned or even heard.
- these aren't casual live-with type complaints. in person i'm loudly vocal about them.

Similar Products Used:

Summary:
god, this board is the best investment i ever made. it is BEAUTIFUL to ride, in powder, off jumps, anywhere. i trust it totally to take me where i want to go. the topsheet and underside are also tough as ****, no scratches or gouges, not even where i have hit trees.

i have ridden killer loop, lib tech, burton, and each one was cool in its own way, i.e. jumps OR cruising, but none of them was great at EVERYTHING like this board is. my riding has improved 100%.

i also recommend jared's shredonline website for the best service i have ever received for buying anything, period.

Summary:
Best board I've ever ridden. I demoed a Lib Tech from my friend on our last trip, but after a few slopes I was dying to get back on my Never Summer ! My advice : buy one from last year left-overs if you can (way cheaper).

Strengths:
holds an edge in any condition! Very forgiven! stable at high speeds !

Weaknesses:
none so far !

Similar Products Used:
Lib Tech, GNU, Scott, Oxygen. None of them come close to the Premier !!

Favorite place to ride:

Riding Style:
All Mountain/Freeride

Product Year:
2001

Summary:
I have been boarding for 3 seasons. I started with some rental boards, then bought a Sims Enduro for its price. Since last year I've been hitting the jumps and found that the Enduro too stiff and harsh on landing. On soft snow it tends to get caught a lot. After reading numerous review on this forum, I headed out to buy either a Ride Timeless or NeverSummer Premiere. The Timeless seems more popular than the Premiere, so none of the shops have last year's model left for Timeless, and not much for Premiere either. There's only one NeverSummer dealer in Vancouver, and they only have one left for my height. It's a demo board and pretty scratched up, so I got a sweet deal on it. The shop gave me a free base grind and filled the deep grooves with P-tex.
When I took it up the hills, I was more than happy to see all the good comments on the board in this forum. It's so easy to control and so nice to land the jumps. Maybe not as snappy as the Enduro but better than the rental boards I tried before.

Strengths:
- Smooth ride
- Great control
- Shock abosortion
- Light weight
- Tough construction (my demo board stood up for all that abuse and only suffers surface scratches)

Weaknesses:
- Top surface scratches too easy
- Color could be sharper
