Description Designed for aggressive freeriders with bigger feet, the W4 features Salomon’s Optomized Sidecut Geometry for instant edge to edge responsiveness, and all the performance features of the 450. Lay out...
Summary: Last years model (its now 2003!!)Erm... pretty fast sweet board. Cheating really, i got a 56 and i've got size uk10 feet. got it because its soooo much easier to land spins off big booters with a wide board!
Strengths: Very stiff - good for big jumps and but bad for jibbing although did soften up a little, eventually...
Weaknesses: Bit too wide for pipe - sidecut is too shallow also. The worst delam ever - typical saloman. from heel to heel and under both toes, the laminate lifted about 7/8mm. so i wasn't a happy bunny and sent it back.

Summary: This board is ausome, plain out. perfect for powder, i've only dragged once with my size 13 feet!this baby lays trenches like there is no tomarrow, i'd reccomend this board to anybody.
Summary: Extremely fast and controlable at the same time! They say its a Freeride board but I had no trouble slidin rails, landing big air and ridin pipe with it. Best board I've ever owned.
Strengths: Excellent all around board, it reads your mind!
Weaknesses: The speed of this board could be intimidating for a beginner. Also, you better have some strong legs, this board is stiff as hell!

Summary: I rode the 00 model and loved it. My roomate rode a fatbob, and I thought his board was rather sluggish. I was a skier, and when I converted this board allowed me to get good fast. Its great in the trees, though you would think it wouldn't be because its soo wide. I took this board everywhere but the pipe, and I was disappearing from my buddies who had been riding for a few years. This board has all you need, specially if you big and tall. I am 6'6". I broke this board at Keystone in the park, but I beet on this board, and now I have a 02 168. Buy this board
Strengths: really nice in the trees and freeride. It can hold its own in the park as well. This is a very versitile board
Weaknesses: Its not a park board, so it doesn't have the flex for that stuff. If that's your thing, and you have big feet, pass over this baord and by some palmerplates for a flexier board
