Summary:
I just bought the Burton Cruzer 147 this year for a great price. The first time i went boarding was with this board. It is an awesome and easy to ride board that i had no problem learning on.

Strengths:
Everything. Although i did catch an edge a few times when i was learning, it is hard to do. It is easy to ride switch with and turn. It is an awesome board for any terrain and i loved it so much. Its a great deal for beginners who want to get better. This board is like ur buddy...it'll help you out and make you a better rider. You can't outgrow this board...its the best ride ever.

Favorite place to ride:
Paoli Peaks, Indiana

Riding Style:
FreeStyle

Product Year:
2001

Summary:
Very flexy and easy-turning for those who have not turned pro yet. Rarely catches an edge. Not very expensive.

Strengths:
Well, I personally have never ridden it, but I took 3 friends snowboarding, they all learned to ride on it. It's got a 3-degree bevel from the base to the edge, so you've gotta be nearly sideways to catch an edge. One of my friends went down the bunny slope at about a 45-degree angle and didn't catch an edge. The torsional flex (twisting motion) is very soft, so beginners have an easier time getting their turns linked. The sidecut radius is really deep which makes for easy turning. When a beginner tries to use a leaning motion to turn, the sidecut kicks in really fast and responds, whereas an aggressive (shallow) sidecut will not turn and they will fall.

Weaknesses:
Nothing. It's a great board for beginning and first time snowboarders.

Heelside Glide - very flexy and moderate sidecut, great for first timers.
