Description A wide Custom and for advanced versatility without the toe drag. Featured in Abe Teter’s legendary session at the ’99 US Open, the Canyon can track out the powder all morning, and then bring home the ...
Review Abstract No wonder the Canyon is so popular with boarders—it has “great hold for tight curves,” provides a “fast response” and is great for speed. Boarders love the “stable landings” and “edge-to-edge turning.” Reviewers say that the Canyon delivers “beautiful carving, does great on both ice and powder” and “floats in the deep stuff.” Other boarders say it can “be a very aggressive board when you say the word” and is “responsive and quick but solid as a tank when the conditions are sketchy.” The “medium flex makes it a great all-mountain ride,” says another reviewer.

Summary: This board will help you improve quickly. I Tried this board out at whistler as I was unable to bring my option booter along. Set up was my 32 Yota boots (sz 13), burton freestyle bindings and the canyon 167. This being my first time to Whistler I was a little nervous and therefore very concerned with the board I was to rent, especially since I am a big dude (6'5 225 lbs). All in all, being an intermediate boarder, this board enabled me to hit the mountian full tilt from day 1 with confidence and vastly improved my boarding ability. I rode this board for 3 straight full days, and each day I got better and more confident. Great carving ability, pretty quick and very responsive. I just hope my booter will perform as well as the canyon. If you are looking to purchase a board and you have big feet do not shy away from this board, you may regret it. The next board I buy, I know it will be a canyon.
Strengths: Carves well, speed is good and manueveres the way you ask it to.
Weaknesses: Common weakness - board's top sheet was chipped pretty bad, but what can you expect out of a rental

Summary: great board if you like em wide. big footers are needing this one cause it handles my size 14 boots easily, with minimal toe and heel drag. who cares about the graphics, snowboarding is about comfort and what you like not what it looks like.
Strengths: FAST, WIDE, STABLE, basically a perfect board.
Weaknesses: top sheet cracked on the tail nothing major though, top sheet cuts easy when hit on the chair lift by other boards.
Similar Products Used: can't think of any, maybe the floater but it's iffy
Summary: Ridden 3 different model Canyons atleast 40 days a years for the last 4 years. Had one crack on me but that was kinda my own fault.
Strengths: Amazing in powder no matter East or West coast. Handled massive amounts of East Coast Ice with minimal slippage and was an amazing all mountain board.
Weaknesses: Umm besides that one that cracked they have all been great.

Summary: Overall this is an awesome board, far better than any other Burton wide board - not too stiff, great retention of pop, wide enough for big dogs (Size 12+). The Rush and Floater are not even worth considering. Reasonably fast edge to edge in the pipe, but you shouldn't be there with one of these, it is made for pow and parks. And for all you moaning about the graphics, I have a test board with the Powers topsheet and it looks PHAT!
Strengths: -Holds its pop
-Stiff flex
-Light for its size
-Fast base
-The fact that its a Burton
-My one has cool graphics
Weaknesses: Some chipping around the top of the sidewalls, so be careful...
