Review Abstract The High Carbon Beam is Gnu's lowest-priced board and, according to one reviewer, it's "better than other, higher-priced boards I've tried." The High Carbon Beam is "light and snappy," ""great for carving and off the pipe" and "super easy to ollie." Its low price, "top-1uality construction," light weight and "forgiving flex" make it "good for starting" to learn how to snowboard. The High Carbon Beam "gets a little shaky at high speeds, but holds on well enough." The consensus? "Get this board if you are looking for an inexpensive board with quality."
Summary: decent board for its price.i think it retails at like 300.
i have it in a 160 but it feels like i am riding a 150. i bought it used as a rock board and it has served me relativly well. i think it retails at like 300
Strengths: easy to land tricks because of flex.
pretty light.
Weaknesses: this board is too flexy for me i am used to boards with way more stiffnes
it is so flexible that it is also slow
also the extruded base kind of sucks but it does hold wax well.
not great for freeriding.

-carves great
-lots of snap
-light
-cool graffics
-cheap!
-tip and tail bumper thingys
Weaknesses: the low price makes you think the board isnt as good as it is, but then you ride it....

Summary: like i said, great board to learn on...but don't try a better board unless you own it! once you notice that the board is better than the carbon high beam, you'll greatly notice the weakness as you gain experience.
Strengths: it was a great board to learn how to ride on...very forgiving
Weaknesses: well once you've got the hang of it, it's too flexy.
Summary: Gosh what can I say... this board is SICK! It's so easy to turn! I went from total beginner to intermediate in a couple days. Carving effortless, and plowing gives you all the control you need. A good balance of flexibility and stiffness. Flexible enough to be forgiving and stiff enough to handle roaring speeds. Nice pop... I'm pulling 2' ollies on flat terrain. I got a great deal at $349 canadian (regularly listed at $449!). Check out Gnu's website, the Carbon HighBeams are packed with a lot of higher priced features!
Strengths: *Ease of turning *Good balance of flexibility and stiffness *Nice pop! *Versatile for all forms of boarding *Inexpensive price tag *Good quality and a lot of higher priced features packed into a great inexpensive board *Highly rated and reccommended by pro boarders/reviewers (and me! :o) *Sick base graphic
Weaknesses: *The simple and unimaginative deck graphic *Idiot hotdoggin' no-control-posers at Cypress Mountain have scratched, chipped, and dented my ride already by running into me! Cypress Mountain needs strict speed (idiot) patrol BADLY.

Summary: I totally recommend this board to any beginners or advanced riders. Overall, it's a sweet board, but it's best feature is the price-I paid 279 bucks for this board which is unheard of. If you want to blow an extra $100 on some carbon fiber board that has Burton stamped on it and doesnt ride as well, be my guest, but you should definitely consider purchasing this baby.
Strengths: Yo, this board is awesome, I had rented boards for 2 years and borrowed my friend's, but this board tops the list by far. Though it's not carbon fiber (completely at least), it out-performs most that are. The board has incredible balance and makes up for a lot of mistakes you make. Rides not too fast or slow and has nice pop.
Weaknesses: Nothing that I can think of.
Similar Products Used: I've used the works: Burton, K2, Rossignol and Santa Cruz, none can compare.
