at Gallyons Favorite place to ride: Mt. Snow, VT. Riding Style: FreeStyle Product Year: 2002 Summary: This was the first board I bought and being that I wear a size 12 boot, the choices were limited with a tight budget. But Fat Boy Bob fit the bill.
Great board to learn and improve with. Strengths: *Afforable
*Reliable
*Durable (especially for beginners who will beat it up a bit) Weaknesses: You'll eventually have to graduate from it. Don't think this is your board for life if you're gonna be using it a decent amount.

at Peter Glenn Tent Sal Favorite place to ride: Smugg's VT Riding Style: All Mountain/Freeride Product Year: 2001 Summary: This board is great. I wear a size 12 boot and this board really works well with my mild duck stance. This board works well in all sorts of conditions. I actually teach snowboarding on this model. The wide board style makes it a great floater in the powder and on the groomed surfaces, I can really get the edge to cut in. With a nice side cut and great flexability, this board will get my big feet carving harder at steeper angles than most others out there. I love it. Strengths: great powder floater, big footers won't drag toes or heels on the carvegood flexability makes it very responsive despite the width. Weaknesses: Increased surface area makes it very hard to get moving on really cold days. Lift rides on windy days may be a little difficult

at Fiorini Sports, WA Favorite place to ride: Wolf Creek, CO Riding Style: All Mountain/Freeride Product Year: 2001 Summary: This was my first snowboard (after one day of riding - I mean falling), and not knowing much about boarding when I bought it, I just went with a proven wide board. It's done very well for me as I learned to ride, but I felt like I needed a stiffer board after improving on my riding (as well as an excuse to horde gear). But I would definitely recommend it! Strengths: - graphics - both top and base
- excellent riding in powder and on groomed
- stable ride
- base pretty resistant to damage - loves to take abuse Weaknesses: - A bit too flexible for me now
- Edge to edge is a little slow - really need to bully the board around at times
- Doesn't hold edges very well on ice and crud
- Black topsheet lends itself to visible damage Similar Products Used: This was my first wide board, but since have bought a Reaction Snowboards Blue Pill 161.5W and Never Summer Legacy 166

$240.00 Favorite place to ride: Okemo, VT Riding Style: All Mountain/Freeride Product Year: 2001 Summary: I got the 158, it's great for size 12's & up. Big width for a stable ride, though it does not hold an edge as well on ice & hard packed as others I've tried:ie.GNU,PALMER. Great for beginners - intermediate. Strengths: Looks great. Stable for big jumps. Floats great in pow. Great price. Weaknesses: Slow edge to edge. Does not hold edge well on ice & hard packed. Top sheet chips easilly. Similar Products Used: GNU Factory Choice, PALMER Patriot

at Marin Skate and Sport Favorite place to ride: Northstar - Squaw - Kirkwood Riding Style: All Mountain/Freeride Product Year: 1999 Summary: This is a review for a 98 Fatbob. This is a great board for people who have big feet. I have size 13 boots and never run into toe drag. It performs best in powder but is good in all conditions. The board is a little heavy but that is fine by me. Strengths: graphics, great in powder, takes a beating and comes back for more Weaknesses: Seems to peel at the edges Similar Products Used: First wide board i have owned
