Favorite place to ride:
Snow Summit

Riding Style:

Product Year:
2001

Summary:
Mervin is hands down the best snowboard company out there, simply because they are snowboarders and are on the down low ,unlike the big Hype companies that TRY and sell, sell, sell and do about anything to get your money.Mervin is one of the oldest snowboard companies today unlike so many of the ski companies that have hopped aboard to make a buck.

The mervin people are way cool on the phone and understand you and speak your language, That means alot from me.

Strengths:
Fast as heck,Very very light, super popper for big hits, and big landings. I honestly feel safe over shooting big hits and landing flat on this thing.

Weaknesses:
On the stiff side but thats what makes it good for big hits.
I don't like the Base for Jibbing rails, boxes etc...it marks up easy.NOT for a Beginner, to stiff, couldn't handle it...

Favorite place to ride:
Brianhead, UT

Riding Style:
FreeStyle

Product Year:
2001

Summary:
You will love this board. It's carves good, cut through powder good and lands good. If you atleast know how to carve, you will easily appreciate the quality of this snowboard. Oh yeah, the graphics are better than any other board.

Strengths:
Carves like it has power steering. It's really smooth. Being bright yellow, you can see this board from a mile away. It has a lot of pop in the tail, which is good for a more advanced rider.

Weaknesses:
This board is not for a beginner. Know how to ride before you buy this one. For a person that knows what they are doing, it's the best board out today.

I have used a Sims Quest 150, Sims CD 156, Never Summer 163, and a Burton Contact 152.

Favorite place to ride:
Mtn high

Riding Style:
All Mountain/Freeride

Product Year:
2001

Summary:
Dave Lee 156, Drake F-60 bindings. Also have heard that Mervin has a horrible warranty, anyone care to elaborate?

Strengths:
Carves great, really stable throught crap ice at Snow Summit and Mtn. High. Lightweight, awsome board if you got the dough.

Weaknesses:
top coat is kind of cheap, if you want to mark it down on that, I have also heard of edges pulling out of LIBs and durablitity problems anyone heard of any? base also scars easily. I overtightened a screw and left a bump on the base , kind of pissed me off.

Similar Products Used:
Lamar semi-directional 147. That board was horrible at handling but man could it take abuse. Held up a lot better than my Dave Lee
