You love your MSR snowshoes with 360 Traction frames, but, every once in a while, the snow you travel across is so loosely packed that you start to get that sinking feeling. By attaching MSR's Lightning Floatation Tails to your snowshoes, you can increase your overall footprint size (they add 5 inches in length), thereby improving your float and overall stability in deeper snow. These Floatation Tails are small and light enough to bring on any trip, so you can rock the primary set up in hardpack conditions, and then attach the on-demand tails for deeper snow or when you're carrying a heavier pack.
