Review Abstract
The “optically correct” Action Optics Ambush sunglasses offer full coverage from the sun, excellent polarization and are a good investment. Consumers agree that they “well worth the money.” These “durable,” “scratch resistant” and “snug” sunglasses will not fall off your face and will not “corrode from salt.” The “high quality” lenses eliminate glare to let you see into the water and help you spot more fish.

Price Paid:  $105.00 at Little River Outfitt

Summary:
These glasses are by far the best pair of polarized glasses I have ever owned. They lenses work almost magic as the cut back the glare and reveal what is going on underneath the surface. This is money well spent.

Price Paid:  $159.00 at Trout and Grouse - N

Summary:
I own two pair of Ambush glasses, one clearwater copper (my absolute favorite glasses of all times) and one freshwater amber (really help in low light situations). These glasses allow me to spend an entire day on a mountain stream in the shadows or on the ultra-bright flats of the Fla Keys without any eye fatigue whatever. They are far and away the absolute best polarizing glasses that I have ever worn.

Customer Service:
What can I say, the customer service is impeccable. I have used the service twice - the first time I scratched a lense and they replaced it for a nominal fee. The second time I had a lense that popped out (these glasses were out of warranty - 1 year warranty). I was told via email that sometimes, if there is a defect, the warranty is honored even if it has expired. This was the case here. In less than 5 business days from start to finish I had a brand new pair of glasses in my mailbox - no charge and no questions asked. Now that my friends is true customer service.

Summary:
BEWARE---the lenses in these glasses are prone to fall out. The frames rely on tension rather than rigidity to keep the lenses in place. You can see this in any picture of the frames---look how thin the frame is under the lense. I bought a pair of these and a lense fell out. AO sent a new pair and the same thing happened. My good friend has also gone through 2 pair. After the second pair failed on a fishing trip to South Texas, I asked for the Guide's Choice frame as a replacement and have had no trouble. The lenses are wonderful, but being without one lense in the middle of nowhere unable to look for fish with your $150 sunglasses when a $12 pair would do just fine is absolutely AWFUL.

Customer Service:
Cooperative but slow.

Summary:
The best overall fit and eye coverage of any glass I've tried. Polarization argualby perhaps just a hair below that of Maui Jims, but is still very good to excellent . Best I've used for not slipping off one's face. Lenses slope slightly inward toward cheek bones providing good coverage at the base of the lens.
