at local fly shop Summary: I originally bought a pair of polycarbonate glasses for fishing to save some money. Bad move. The Riptides have a glass photochromic lens, which is much better than polycarbonate. The copper lens is crystal clear, and the photochromic feature works even inside a car. Many reviewers seem concerned about whether glasses will fog--they all will in the right circumstances. The Riptides fit pretty closely and have a good wrap to keep out light, so, yes, they may fog easier than frames with less side protection. All in all, the best lenses I've every used. Customer Service: no experience yet Similar Products Used: Action optics polycarbonate-my eyes had trouble focussing through these at long distances.
Oakley polarized-excellent optics, but not photochromic, and scratch very easily.

at TCO Flyfishing Summary: The Riptide are a nice pair of sunglasses. They are solid and durable, and the clearwater copper glass lens are clear and distortion-free. Beware, however, that these glasses are small in size -- they're not made for big guys and they're highly prone to fogging. Customer Service: First Class and friendly. Similar Products Used: Ray Ban, Vaurnet, Oakley, etc.
