Reviewed by: Shaun Byrne ,  Mountaineer

Price Paid:  $115.00

Summary:
Very nice rope - It is one of the lightest double ropes you can buy, which is good when you are on lead and on long approaches in the mountains. I’ve used it as a twin rope and double. I’ve even used it as a single rope on easy mountain climbs (class 4-5). I’ve climbed as a 3-person team on these ropes as well. If a second falls on a single rope, the rope stretch can be significant.
For some reason, one of my ropes is 3 meters longer than the other. My friend had the same problem with his pair. My one major gripe is that the Ice line rope is not as durable as my thicker ropes, but I guess that is the price for lightweight.
