at Cash Converters Maro Summary: I bought the bmw streetcarver skateboard when I was in Cashconverters looking for a longboard. I had no idea what the thing really was other than it was the most sophisticated street machine I had ever seen. I took it to the hills around where I live at Buderim and scared myself enough to go and buy full pads and a lid. The thing is not a skateboard. It's not designed to go in a straight line and will develop death wobbles at high speed. What you have to do is carve hard pendulem turns to slow down so {in the most extreme scenarios} you ride the thing in backhand to forehand arcs from side to side of the rad with the maximum speed and g force in the middle of your arc slowing as you drift the thing to a point of near zero gravity before turning back down into your next arc. The thing will drift with full controlled slides from the bottom of your arc to almost the peak of your next turn into the slope. It is also the most superior machine for any kind of downhill carving but it aint a skateboard. It is a tanker to push on the flat and cannot be ollied or jumped. The closest thing that I can imagine is snowboarding but instead of snow your on bitumen. You could easily get into situations way beyond your control attempting steep hills. Having said that it can enable you to take on steeper hills than any skateboard if you are prepared to carve your way to the bottom. But if you miss a turn or have to straighten out for any reason at high speed you will not be able to engage the power drifts that slow the descent and {depending on the length of the run} you are in serious trouble. Mind you, you don't have to take on the monster slopes and can have heaps of fun carving amazing arcs on gradual inclines. My baby has been gathering dust for a while now simply because of the weight and a real skatie is just way more practical for ease of use and urban transport. Seriously. I love the thing but with the development of skate tech and carveboard designs, the revenge trucks etc the bmw streetcarver has had it's day in the sun and can shine on as a collectable or museum peice as a magnificent design for specialised riding. Too heavy, too hard to get parts for or dys fixing and way way too hard to push. There's a reason they don't make em any more. Too expensive. Get a real skateboard. You will use it more and live longer. Maybe. Customer Service: nil Similar Products Used: got an Alien workshop longboard with revenge trucks and big caddies that can nearly do turns as tight but oh so much more, bowls, ramps, hills, curbs and gutterjumps. Everything you need to get silently accross town with style and aggression. And you can push n glide forever not to mention pick it up and carry the thing without blowing washers out your clacker.

Snowboarder
Price Paid:
$0.00 Summary: I am looking to sell my Street carver for the best bid over $400. I got this board about 2 years ago, only used it like 5 times, and now i never ride it anymore, so it kind of just sits around taking up space. It is beautifully engineered and for the short time that i did use it i had such a blast, but I figure if it's not being used i should sell it to somebody that will appreciate it. The board is in almost mint condition. The only scratch on it, as you can kind of see from the photo, are on the trucks from when I stupidly road up onto a curb, not thinking that i would be selling it down the road (but i knocked down the price 100 dollars for it). If you are interested in making a deal just e-mail me with an offer and i'll get back to you---- thebubster98@aol

at bmw of san diego Summary: it's the best at what it was made for, carving, you can't find anything with the amount grip and carving capibility.
it's not made for jumping, not even off a curb. it's not really a skateboard. it's made for cruising and carving. if that's what you want, this is the pinnicale, it doesn't get any better. once you get the feel for it, it's a scalpel. Customer Service: one arm (link) did loosen up and start to un screw(noticed wobble while riding) used a tight fit 16mm wrench to tighten, back to new. Similar Products Used: several wooden long boards (sector nine and similar)
