Price Paid:  $4700.00 at SOS Ressorts

Summary:
Purchased for what appeared to be a discount due to the description "overstocked with demo's or products damaged in shipping. due to low price we cannot support warranty"

Treadmill ran fine for say 120 hrs then quit (with an alarming amount of smoke from the motor). $2,500 to repair, motor, belt board!! Talked to Bodyguard & they said these parts were already replaced once on this serial no. Talked to another gym & he said he had to force Bodyguard to take the 312-C's he had back because they would ruin engines on a weekly basis! Obviously this model should have never been released to the public and Bodyguard should be sued for their irresponsible behaviour!

Reviewed by: Mike Todd ,  Skier , from UK

Price Paid:  $0.00 at Polaris

Summary:
Initially the treadmill was working fine apart from the heart rate control which still doesn't work properly. After a period of short use, the belts starting slipping. This problem has never been cured despite boards being replacement & numerous visits from engineers. In addition to this, the LEDs on the display screen became unreadable in places & on either side of the belt the plastic trimmimgs started to break off. Lately, when in use the treadmill just stops dead whilst running! For this reason it is no longer in use. It has been reported to our supplier who are waiting for replacement boards that apparently will cure the slipping, the stopping of the belt & make the display screen readable again. We have had this equipment for 18 months and all we have is excuses from engineers and suppliers why it doesn't work therefore, this is one treadmill I could never recommend to anyone ever.

Customer Service:
We purchased all our Bodyguard equipment from Polaris who have provided what I can only descibe as an appaling customer service. I have never been keep in the dark so much & the repair of our equipment always falls outside the agreed call out/repair time.

Other Bodyguard equipment such as upright bikes; recumbent bikes & steppers. No change in quality here!
