Summary: Tried on many ski helmets until finally finding one that: fit, comfortable. Not too many helmets made in XXL size (me). Found the Boeri 'Myto Air' to be cool/warm as required. Adjustable venting. Tried it 'for size' a time or two (had 'garage sales' on the slopes), and it protected my 'brain bucket' as intended. Would buy another in a minute.
Similar Products Used: I wore, prior to the Boeri, an English Bobby's helmet (Leeds, West Yorkshire) for 6 years. Was effective, but hot.

Summary: I had to get this helmet for the race team and i was worried that it was gonna be bulky and cumbersome- was I wrong! You don't notice the weight on your head, its nice and warm, and if you get a good color, they are pretty stylish (less of a bowling ball appearance than other models). I got the optional jow gaurd for it and that has been great, too. I reccomend this helmet to anyone.

Summary: I like this helmet. I had wanted one with more venting, but I selected fit over features. This fits me well, and I'd forget that I had it on, it never slid around, never hurt. I didn't can't comment if the lack of big vents made me warm since it has been cold where I've skiied. The vents are too small to be noticed -- I couldn't tell any difference from open vs. closed. I don't think overheating will be a problem. The helmet did muffle my hearing a little. With goggles over my glasses, I had some trouble with my glasses fogging up inside my goggles. I never noticed the weight on my head. The helmet seems durable, survived a couple of wipe-outs, and a drop off a locker room bench onto the concrete floor. Snow flows right off the top of the helmet. No complaints or regrets with this helmet.

Summary: This is my first season skiing with a helmet. I can't believe I didn't do this sooner. After all, I've been cycling with a helmet for about 8 years. In all honesty, I went with the Myto Air because it was the only one that fit my big noggin - I needed an XL, but if you want to spend a little time shopping around, you can get a great price on it. It's not fancy, but it does its job. I greatly appreciate the warmth which may be a drawback, though, come spring.

Summary: I love the confidence this helmet gives me. Between my new shaped skis & this helmet I have progressed from intermediate to advanced skiing. I love the goggles strap on the back, I would not have a helmet without it. My husband and children think I look cool and I feel safer, two great things for the price of one, how can you beat it? If anyone knows of bargain buy places besides LLBean and Reliable racing, please post them in your reviews as well as brands that have goggle straps. Thank you.
Similar Products Used: This is so much warmer than a regular wool hat and my goggles don't slip.
