at REI Summary: I am a relatively small framed, 5'3" woman and this was one of only two packs that I found to fit me. It's very adjustable and comes in women's sizes (I have size S/P), as well as different sized hipbelts. It's pretty comfortable carrying around 30 pounds. I spent about two months trying on many many different packs, including REI, EMS, Lowe Alpine, Gregory, TNF. The Arcteryx was definitely the best fit by far, to a degree that definitely justified the price for me. It's both panel and top loading, with a optional separation for the sleeping bag. My only wish is that it had a bungee cord. I definitely recommend this pack to anyone with a small body frame. Customer Service: Never used.

at REI Summary: I just bought this pack to replace my old low-tech external frame pack. So far, the Arc'teryx is very comfortable with 40 lbs. od weight, except for two points at the top where the shoulder straps join the bag. It seems they rub against my back at the top of my shoulder blades. Otherwise, I really like the pack, but not the price. Similar Products Used: I found the Gragory Palisade to be the most uncomfortable pack I've tried.
