Strength:

Have withstood most of my ill treatment of glasses. They are my only pair of older glasses to have survived 3 decades. I have broken numerous pairs by Oakleys, Vuarnet, Foster Grant and Smith. Maybe its because I knew that wire frames need more car than the others with plastic frames but whatever the reason they have endured. I have had prescription and polarized lens in them as well as the old G15 lens which I have in them now so they don't interfere with reading my phone which has a somewhat polarized screen on the glass. These are so old the are the original Bausch & Lomb glass and the lens don't have the Rayban logo. When I purchased them they came with two sets of lens so my purchase price is just a guess.

Weakness:

Like any wire frame you have to give them more care. Despite surviving 3 decades the temples have not. The original sidepieces were the hook type and I broke them a couple times. They are now the regular style which had to be contoured to my ears. Placing the plastic end into a cup of hot water was less challenging than I thought it would be.
