Strength:
Weighs only 1.55 ozs.Who else makes a 7''6" 4 weight this light! Excellent action,nice finish.
Weakness:
Warrenty issues if one breaks.Loomis changes replacement decisions often... I wrote a review back in December on this rod and found a original one at a excellent price.Quality of this rod can be seen over the newer model. Still the fr904 7''6" 4 weight is a top rod for NC mountains.Its nice to have two of the same if one is broken. Similar Products Used: Sage,Winston,T&T. |

Strength:
Light weight,good action. glx is still top graphite.
Weakness:
Overall finish is worse than older models. Less clearcoat over guide wraps, cheaper handles are being put on, the pacbays were nicer...If quality isn''t improved another brand will replace all my g-loomis''rods. This glx fr904 was bought to upgrade from a gl3 same model.It took several times before a rod of decent quality was shipped to me from loomis.Since shimano has bought them out quality has gone down sharply. If you have a older model,keep it! The glx graphite is still the same just too many shortcuts on attention to detail for me.
