Weakness:

College students have trouble affording them.

I''ve fished top orvis rods and top sage rods and neither compare to the 5wt GLX...its light, quick and responsive. It''s an expensive rod but if you are only going to have one rod make it a GLX.

Strength:

Light weight. Superb feel.

Weakness:

Bendable guides. Price.

Probably the lightest 5 weight I''ve ever fished (in feel, balance, and weight). I like the all black finish, guides and all. Provides excellent control in all casting conditions. I like the drop loop guides, but found them a bit flimsy when I got clumsy scrambling over rocks.
