G. Loomis TRILOGY - 2 wts Freshwater Rods

G. Loomis TRILOGY - 2 wts Freshwater Rods

DESCRIPTION

The most delicate of all the Trilogy fly rods, the 962 is suited to calm days when surface feeders are after midges and other minuscule food forms. It's an ultralight in every sense of the word, designed to protect fine tippets while casting tiny flies on streams to match.

Strength:

The finish is just beautiful! Quality is first rate. I use triangle taper WF-F2 line and it hardly moves the water when landing on it. I will probably have to force myself into at least one more of them next year. The rod cast very well, but then the cast will not be all that long. Is surprisingly strong when playing a fish.

Weakness:

None that I can think of. I''ve never known the loose real seat problem (I own five Loomis rods). I did have some problems turning some very large red ears once, but must remember it''s a two weight rod!

Rod is alittle picky as to what line you use on it, and casting into anykind of wind is useless. But on the otherhand the presentation is almost near perfect. Has a certain feel that it''s nothing more than an extention of my hand when casting. The best rod I''ve found for those #22 tricos.

Customer Service

have never had to contact them, but would let me dealer take care of that for me anyway.
