Rod Smith

Strength:

The medium fast to fast action of the tip flex rod made it a smooth caster in the wind.

Weakness:

The rod is very brittle the first day I owned it I loaded a back cast and the rod snapped two feet from the top. Itook the rod back to the and was given a loaner rod and within a week the same thing happend except this time it was lower down on the rod.Take my advice dont buy this rod!!!

I bought the latest version of the Trident series. A Trident TLS 4 wt. 9'0" 4 piece rod for 2002 Which is either a down graded version of the old Trident TL series (no titanium giudes, crappy cork handle) or the renaming of the silver label series with a higher price tag.

Customer Service

really slow (6 weeks minimum to fix)and not interested in the customer once the sale is made
