Strength:

Its smoothness and versatility. Perfect for delicate drys- upclose or 70 feet away- for bluegill poppers even Michigan style chuck and duck steelhead fishing! The best rods!

Weakness:

none yet found

I have had the 490 SP for almost 9 years now. The SPs are by far my favorite rods. I have 10 rods 6 of which are Sage SPs ...I hope its replacement the SLTs are just as nice.

Strength:

Love the looks of the rod. Casting is a dream as well. Also, it seems I can feel strikes and the line loading with this rod better than most rods I''ve tried.

Weakness:

I have found none.

For the most part, I use this rod when I''m fishing on trout waters on the Cumberland River in east-central KY or when I am fortunate enough to take a trip where there are trout. I love the way this rod casts! I primarily fish bead head wooly buggers and nymphs in the trout waters I get to try, and this rod does it well. If the fish are running a little larger, I will pick up either my 5 weight or my 6 weight SP. That''s right, I like ''em so well I bought a covey of ''em!

Customer Service

Never used warranty service; Requests for info always handled with respect and courtesy.
