Strength:

Long casts, mending, handling weighted flies.

Weakness:

Not for small dry flies or close work.

This is an excellent water for fishing big water, streamers, and weighted flies. It excels in long casts and mending - can lift a lot of line off the water. It doesn't load all that well until you get about 25 feet of line out, but at that point it's a cannon (It's a 6 weight after all). It has lots of backbone for fighting but I didn't snap any 5x tippets after pulling fish up to 18 inches out of fast water over a 2 day period. The 4 piece configuration is well done - fishes exactly like a 2 piece.

Strength:

Powerful rod, great in the wind, cast those big nymphs easily. The Struble nickle reel seat and H & H guides makes this rod.

Weakness:

To powerful for those windless dry fly days. Roll casting requires a pickup single haul technique to get the like back outc

Powerful Rod, sometimes too powerful. If casting weighted nymphs, lead shot and strike indicators is your cup...You''ve found your rod...But if casting a size 20 adams to spooky fish in a crystal pool is more what your after, you''ll be walking back to the truck to get that other rod.

Strength:

This rod is loaded with power, it shoots line like a rocket. Added struble nickle reel seat and H & H guides and you''ve got a great high wind nymph rod. y

Weakness:

Small drys? Forget it!!! Go back to the truck and grab that Scott Ù

A good powerful rod, sometimes to powerful. If casting large weighted nymphs, lead, and strike indicator is all you do...you just found your rod. But if casting a size 20 Adams is more your cup go back to the truck and grab that other rod. a
