Price. I ahve friends who fish the pricier rods from GLoomis and Sage and every time they try this St. Croix rod they are impressed.

This is a lightweight and responsive rod. I overlined the rod with a WF8F and it casts like a dream. The rod is used primarily for Brown Trout and Salmon and has held upevery time.
