Winston quality 5 pieces - fits in a briefcase overall performance

None for me.

This was my first non-IM6 (now WT) Winston rod and it took me some time to adjust to the difference. Less power, more overall flex (as opposed to tip action) than the IM6. With experience, though, I've fould the BL5 5wt to be a great all-around trout rod; very accurate, good distance, handles big fish. For stiff winds I still prefer the IM6 but the BL5 performs well too.

Customer Service

Terrific response time and never a question about warranty coverage. They have recently added a postage charge (probably to discourage requests for cosmetic fixes) that some might find annoying.
